135 adults in Co. Kildare reported as homeless
5,847 adults were homeless in Ireland in June, according to the government's Homeless Report for the month.
In Co. Kildare 135 adults were recorded as homeless.
In total in the Mid-East, which covers counties Kildare, Meath, Wicklow, 322 adults were homeless.
In terms of age cohorts in the Mid-East, 53 were aged between 18 & 24 years, 164 were aged between 25-44 years, 95 aged between 45 & 64 & 10 over the age of 65.
47 families in the region were reported as homeless, 30 of which were single-parent families.
The total number of adults in those families reported were 64, with 111 people notified as dependent.
Nationally Co. Dublin has the highest number of adults homeless, at 4,069 - 1,400 were female, 2,669 were male.
