Rallies have been announced for eight locations next Thursday
It's expected efforts to avoid another public sector strike will ramp up from today.
Rallies have been announced for eight locations next Thursday, in the absence of any movement towards a new national wage deal.
The details were announced yesterday, with rallies due to be held in Cork, Dublin, Galway, Letterkenny, Limerick, Sligo, Tullamore and Waterford between midday and 2pm.
There are reports government is keen to have the issues resolved before Thursday, as the strike day coincides with a major visit of EU leaders to Dublin.
