A gun and drugs have been seized after Gardaí stopped and searched two people in Dublin's south inner city.
A man and a woman were arrested.
While on patrol on Townsend Street yesterday afternoon, Gardaí attached to the South Central Divisional Drug unit spotted unusual activity and approached a man and a woman in their 30s.
They were searched and a suspected firearm was seized - along with a quantity of drugs.
The woman in her 30s is due in court charged in connection with the seizure.
The man is still being questioned at Kevin Street Garda Station while the woman is due before a judge on Friday.
Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
