Irish Athletic Boxing Association cancel tournament.
A man in his 40's is being treated for serious injuries at Galway University Hospital, after a number of men with machetes stormed a boy's boxing championship in County Roscommon.
Gardai and emergency services were called to the scene yesterday, at the 'Boy 4 Boxing' national quarter finals in Castlerea.
The Irish Athletic Boxing Association has condemned the incident, and suspended the rest of the finals, which were due to take place across the weekend.
