A man in his 30s is due to appear in court after being charged over the fatal assault of a man in Dublin on Thursday.
The attack took place at Hampton Wood Way in Finglas, when a 51-year-old man sustained serious injuries after he was stabbed a number of times.
He was treated by paramedics at the scene and taken to the Mater Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Gardaí said in a statement that a post-mortem examination of the deceased has been completed.
