The best meteor shower of the year peaks tonight and tomorrow night
This year's geminid meteor shower takes place on what is expected to be a moonless night.
Taking place every year in December, up to 150 meteors are expected to be seen per hour.
It peaks tonight and tomorrow night.
Up to 20 times more shooting stars than normal will be seen.
David Moore from Astronomy Ireland says all you need to do is look up to appreciate it, and you don't need any equipment to see the meteor shower.
