On average, employees would want to work between two and three days remotely
Over half of workers would quit their jobs if they aren't given work flexibility after the pandemic.
That's one of the findings of a new EY 2021 Work Reimagined Employee Survey.
Cliona O'Dwyer reports:
"This international study shows nine in ten employees now want flexibility in where and when they work.
Given the choice, more than half of workers would choose flexibility in when they work, while 40 per cent want flexibility in where they work.
On average, employees would want to work between two and three days remotely after the pandemic.
When restrictions ease 22 per cent would prefer to work full time in the office, with a third saying they want a shorter working week altogether.
The employees most likely to move jobs include managers, those with technology or finance roles, and caregivers.
Those most likely to stay in their current roles include baby boomers, people with 10 or more years of tenure, and those in government or education roles.
Millennials are twice as likely as baby boomers to quit. "
