More than 73-million euro was given to private operators running emergency accommodation for homeless adults and families last year.
The figures from the Dublin Region Homeless Executive, show 73.3 million was given to 23 operators who ran a combined 77 locations in 2022.

Minister for Housing, Darragh O'Brien, says private operators are needed to ensure there are enough emergency beds in the system.
