Protests took place yesterday in Dublin yesterday after the son of a Brazillian Mayor had his leg severed during an incident with a Garda car over the weekend.
The collision happened on the M50 on Saturday at around 3:15pm after a group and Gardaí had followed an alleged stolen bike.
The Garda Ombudsman is appealing for witnesses to the alleged incident at junction 11 Tallaght where the northbound on-ramp merges with the motorway.
