Tánaiste Says Fuel Prices Should Drop Sooner Rather Than Later

The price of a barrel has dropped to under $94

The Tánaiste says he expects petrol and diesel prices to begin falling sooner rather than later.

The price of Brent crude has dropped to just under $94 a barrel, after the United States and Iran agreed to a two-week ceasefire overnight.

Finance Minister Simon Harris says when global oil prices rose, fuel costs increased quickly - and he expects prices at the pumps to come down just as quickly if wholesale costs continue to fall:
