Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
A woman in her 80s has died after being hit by a van in Carlow town.
The incident happened in an enclosed private car-park in Presentation Place, College Street at about 4.30 yesterday evening.
She was taken to St. Luke's General Hospital in Kilkenny with serious injuries, and has since passed away.
A technical examination of the scene has been conducted, and enquiries are ongoing.
