He wants to contest the Philippines' Presidential election
Manny Pacquiao has confirmed his retirement from boxing to run for the presidency of the Philippines.
The 42-year old won world titles in eight divisions.
Pacquiao’s final fight came with a unanimous decision defeat to Cuba’s Yordenis Ugas in Las Vegas last month.
I boldly accept the challenge of running as PRESIDENT of the Philippines. We need progress. We need to win against poverty. We need government to serve our people with integrity, compassion and transparency. The time is now. I am ready to rise to the challenge of leadership. 🇵🇠pic.twitter.com/suN1zFTxyW
