Former Republic of Ireland international Glenn Whelan has been appointed head coach of Scottish Championship side Livingston.
The 42-year-old Dubliner takes charge following the club's relegation from the Scottish Premiership and will be tasked with guiding them back to the top flight.
Whelan, who won 91 caps for Ireland during his playing career, has previously held coaching roles with Bristol Rovers and Wigan Athletic.
The former Stoke City midfielder described the appointment as a great opportunity.
