Kildare’s women footballers have completed training preparations for Sunday’s All Ireland Intermediate Final.

They play Clare in Croke Park at 1.45pm.

Spain beat the Netherlands 2-1 after extra time to advance.

The Leinster Rugby team, sponsored by Bank of Ireland, has been named ahead of tomorrow’s opening match in the Vodafone Women’s Interprovincial Championship, against Connacht.

Head Coach Tania Rosser has given four players their first Leinster caps, with a further two set to make their debuts off the bench for the game in The Sportsgrounds (KO: 5.15pm, Live on TG4 YouTube).

Aoife Moore and Christy Haney pack down either side of debutant Sarah Delaney in the front row.
Eimear Corri partners Ruth Campbell on her first appearance in the second row, while Aoife Wafer makes her debut in the back-row alongside Molly Boyne and captain Hannah O’Connor.

Naoise O’Reilly earns her first cap, at full-back, with Elise O Byrne-White and Clare Gorman on the wings. Aoife Dalton and Sene Taiti-Fanene are in the centre, with Katie Whelan and Dannah O’Brien form the half-backs.
