Friday Morning: Kildare Footballers Face Armagh In Fifth Round Of AFL Tomorrow

GAELIC GAMES

Kildare's men's footballers travel to the Athletic Grounds in Armagh tomorrow, for their fifth round game in Division 1 of the Allianz Football League.

The Lilywhites currently lie sixth in the table, with 3 points.

Armagh are in third position, with 5 points.

Here's manager Glenn Ryan's view before tomorrow's game:

They face Carlow in Manguard Plus Hawkfield at 12pm.

SOCCER

Chelsea put their off field troubles to one side last night by defeating Norwich 3-1 in the Premier League.

Leeds United remain in danger of the drop after losing 3-0 to Aston Villa.

Wolves got the better of Watford 4-0.

Newcastle United won 2-1 at Southampton.

Chelsea has effectively been frozen as an asset by the UK Government after owner Roman Abrahmovich was sanctioned following the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

The club may receive a special licence so it can be sold.

In the League of Ireland Premier Division tonight, champions Shamrock Rovers host Bohemians.

Kick off at a sold out Tallaght Stadium is at 8pm.

Finn Harps and St Patrick's Athletic also meet at 8pm.

Shane Lowry carded a 1 over par opening round of 73.

Rory McIlroy only got to play two holes before darkness suspended play - he is level par.
