Ireland drew 1-1 with Canada in a friendly in Montreal.
Republic of Ireland manager Heimir Hallgrimsson says he was happy to come away with a draw after his side recovered from a disappointing first-half display against Canada in Montreal.
Ireland fell behind before the break following an own goal from Jake O'Brien, but improved significantly in the second half and earned a 1-1 draw thanks to Chiedozie Ogbene's equaliser.
Hallgrimsson admitted he was frustrated by his team's opening 45 minutes, but he praised the response after the first-half, with Ireland creating chances late on.
The friendly also saw several new faces given opportunities, including League of Ireland players Dawson Devoy, Kian Leavy, and Adam Brennan as the Irish manager continues to build depth ahead of the Nations League campaign later this year.
