Ireland's challenge at the World Cup of Darts came to an end after an 8-5 quarter-final defeat to Scotland.
The Irish pairing of William O'Connor and Mickey Mansell found themselves on the back foot early as Scotland stormed into a three-leg lead and maintained control for much of the match-up.
Ireland battled back impressively, with O'Connor producing a number of clinical finishes to briefly reduce the deficit, but the Scots responded at key moments to keep their advantage intact.
The defeat ends a strong tournament for Ireland, who had progressed through the group stages with a perfect record before reaching the knockout rounds.
Scotland advance to the semi-finals, while Ireland bow out having once again shown they can compete with the world's leading darting nations.
