Mixed Weekend For Kildare GAA Teams.

Wins for the hurlers and women footballers, while the men lose out to Cork.

It’s been a mixed weekend for Kildare intercounty teams this weekend.

The hurlers continued their fine form with a comfortable win over Carlow on Saturday, while the ladies footballers made it 3 wins from 3 in Division 3 of the NFL, with a two point victory over Clare yesterday.

The senior men’s footballers suffered their second league defeat in a row yesterday, losing out to Cork in St Conleth’s Park.

The full time score was Cork 2-14 Kildare 0-7, with the Lilywhites only registering two points in the first half.

Next up for Kildare is a trip to Ennis to play Clare on the 19th of February.

This afternoon, attention turns to the final outstanding game to be played from the 2022 season.

Naas play Maynooth in the final of the Whitewater Shopping Centre U23 A Final in St Conleth’s Park.

Throw in is at 2pm and Kfm will have live updates with Seamus Dillon.
