Monday Lunch Sport Update

Naas, Kilcock, Kilcullen footballers, Maynooth hurlers, Celbridge camogie all win in Leinster

 

Five Kildare teams were in Leinster action over the weekend - and all won.

Yesterday, Naas senior footballers beat Wicklow champions Blessington by 4-11 to 1-7.

They will play Wexford champions Shelmaliers (pro: Shell-mal-leers) in the semi final in Croke Park on Saturday December 18th.

Meanwhile, Naas senior hurlers Leinster intermediate semi final against Glenmore of Kilkenny is fixed for next Saturday at 1pm in St. Conleth’s Park.

Kilcock footballers are, also through to the Leinster semi final after their 1-13 to 8 points win over Tang of Westmeath.

 

They will play Clara of Offaly in the semi final on December 18th.

 

Kilcullen footballers are into the Leinster Junior semi final on December 18th, following their win over Grange of Carlow

Maynooth hurlers are into the Leinster Junior semi final after they beat Trumera of Laois.

That semi final against Shamrocks of Offaly is fixed for next Saturday at 1pm in Manguard Plus Hawkfield.

Celbridge Camogie women are into the Leinster Intermediate final, after their 1-7 to 9 points win over Laois side O’Moores

This evening’s Kildare Scoreboard at 6.30pm will review all the games, including Naas, Kilcock, Kilcullen and Maynooth manager interviews

Clane have done the U23 A hurling and football double.

On Friday the club’s hurlers beat the Leixlip/Confey amalgamation St. Columba’s.

Yesterday, they won the football title, beating Celbridge by 4-13 to 0-15

The U23 B football title went to Eadestown, who beat Newtown Gaels by a point 1-13 to 2-9
