Jerry West, the basketball icon whose silhouette still adorns the NBA logo, has died.
He was 86.
West won the NBA Championship with the L-A Lakers in 1972, and moved from coaching into an executive role with the Lakers.
He’d later hold similar positions at the Memphis Grizzlies, Golden State Warriors and the LA Clippers.
