Michael McKillop says he's "devastated" to have not won a medal at his final Paralympic Games.
The four-time champion finished in eighth-place in the T-37/38 1,500 metres final in Tokyo.
McKillop says he's privileged to have worn the Irish vest for 16 years.
Pat O'Leary narrowly missed out on a medal in finishing fifth in the the V-L-3 Canoe final.
Mary Fitzgerald was sixth in the F-40 Shot Put while Phil Eaglesham took 15th place in the R-9 Rifle Shooting
