Reaction To All Kildare GAA Games Over The Weekend.

The Kildare senior footballers registered their first league win of the season with a 1-12 to 0-12 victory over Dublin in a sold-out St Conleth's Park on Sunday afternoon.
 
The win leaves Dublin bottom of Division 1 and it was Kildare's first competitive win over their Leinster rivals since the Provincial Final in 2000.
 
Jimmy Hyland scored the all important goal for the Lillies in the 47th minute.
 
Next up is an away trip to Kieran McGeeney's Armagh side on Saturday week.

The Kildare hurlers also got their first win of the Allianz NHL Division 2A, to give their survival chances a boost.
 
They beat Down in Ballycran on a scoreline of 2-17 to 0-22.
 
Next up is a home game against Carlow on Sunday at 2pm in St Conleth's Park.

The hurling manager is David Herity.

 
The women's footballers made it two wins from two in the Lidl Ladies NFL Division 3B on Sunday afternoon.
 
Despite being level with Longford at half time, they kicked on in the second half to record a 2-11 to 2-5 victory.

Kildare will next face Wicklow in Hawkfield this coming Sunday.

On Saturday, Naas CBS advanced to the final of the All Ireland Post Primary Schools Championship, beating St Jarlath's of Tuam 3-14 to 1-4.
 
Naas CBS will now play St Brendan's College Killarney in the final on St Patrick's Day.

In the John Kerins U20 Cup, it finished Kildare 2-8 Dublin 0-14, a draw.

The Kildare camogie side lost out to Derry in the second round of the Littlewoods Ireland League Division 2 on a scoreline of 2-8 to 0-6.
 
Scorers for Kildare on the day were Lea Sutton of Broadford with 3 points, Celbridge's Emer Reilly with 2 and Shauna Mulligan of Rathcoffey with one.
 
There was better luck for the minor camogie team however, as they recorded a comprehensive 4-17 to 0-4 victory over neighbours Carlow.
