A cricket match in England had to be abandoned after a runaway bull wandered onto the pitch and charged at players.
A North East Premier League cricket match in England was abandoned after a runaway bull stormed onto the playing field and refused to leave.
The animal, which had escaped from a nearby farm, roamed around the ground for several hours, forcing players and spectators to keep their distance while attempts were made to remove it.
The bull's owner even brought a cow to the ground in an effort to lure it away, but the plan failed.
Police were also called to assist before the animal eventually wandered off on its own.
Officials said the match could not be restarted due to safety concerns, with the bull reportedly charging at players and two farmers attempting to recapture it.
Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported.
