Louth are just 70 minutes away from a first All-Ireland Senior Football Final appearance since 1957 as they play Mayo in this evening’s semi-final at Croke Park.
Throw-in is at six o’clock, with Mayo aiming to reach the decider for the first time since 2021.
Louth have brought Paul Matthews into the side for the suspended Seán Callaghan, while Mayo start Conor Loftus in attack.
Earlier, Down and Wicklow contest the Tailteann Cup final at Croke Park.
Throw-in is at half-past three, with a place in next season’s All-Ireland Senior Football Championship on offer for the winners.
Wicklow are unchanged from their semi-final victory over Offaly, while 2024 champions Down have made two changes to their starting fifteen.

Soccer
In the World Cup, quarter-finals are well underway.
France booked their place in the last four with a two-nil victory over Morocco, while Spain edged past Belgium by two goals to one to set up a semi-final meeting with the French on Tuesday.
The remaining quarter-finals take place over the next 24 hours.
England play Norway tonight, with kick-off at 10, while Argentina are playing Switzerland tomorrow morning, with that match starting in the early hours at 2 o’clock Irish time.
Rugby
In the Nations Championship, New Zealand made it two wins from two after a 47 points to 17 victory over Italy.
France beat Australia 42-26 this morning. And Ireland begin their second-round campaign away to Japan this morning, with kick-off at ten-past eleven Irish time.
Five Kildare players are named in the squad, with Eadestown’s Tadhg Beirne captaining the side.
In the other matches today, England play Fiji, Scotland travel to South Africa, and Wales play Argentina.
Golf
In golf, Rory McIlroy is in a share of the lead at the Genesis Scottish Open.
The Masters champion carded a second-round 66 to move to nine-under-par, where he’s tied at the top with South Korea’s Tom Kim and England’s Jordan Smith.
Shane Lowry and U.S. Senior Open champion Padraig Harrington both missed the cut, while Tom McKibbin squeezed through on two-under-par.
Tennis
In tennis, there will be a first-time Grand Slam champion crowned at Wimbledon this afternoon.
Karolina Muchova takes on Linda Noskova in an all-Czech Women’s single final.
They played doubles together at the Paris Olympics in 2024 and both have won 11 of the 12 matches they've played on grass this summer.
