Southampton have been charged by the EFL ahead of their play-off clash with Middlesbrough.
Southampton have been charged by the English Football League following allegations that someone connected to the club filmed a Middlesbrough training session without permission.
The complaint relates to an alleged breach of regulations that prohibit clubs from observing an opponent's training session within 72 hours of a scheduled match.
The two sides meet in the Championship play-off semi-finals, with the first leg taking place at Riverside Stadium today.
Southampton say they are cooperating fully with the investigation and will make no further comment while the disciplinary process is ongoing.
