Hawkins overcame the challenge of Judd Trump by six frames to five last night to progress.

The decider - which is the best of 19 frames - is scheduled to get underway shortly after 1pm.

CRICKET

Ireland take on the West Indies in their One Day International series decider later.

The visitors won Thursday's second international by five wickets to keep the series alive.

The first ball is at 2.30pm Irish time at Sabina Park in Jamaica.

England's cricketers have suffered a 146-run defeat towards the end of day three of the final Ashes Test with Australia.

They were set a victory target of 271 after bowling their hosts out for 155 in their second innings in Hobart.

England lost the series 4-nil after the fourth match ended in a draw.
