Kildare's senior footballers are out of the All-Ireland Championship after a 3-22 to 17-point defeat to Kerry in Newbridge yesterday.
The Lilywhites have now lost their opening two games and can no longer qualify for the quarter-finals.
Kerry join Cork in the last eight after yesterday's victory.
In the Ladies All-Ireland Senior Championship, Kerry were also winners in Newbridge.
The Kingdom ran out 1-19 to 8-point winners over Kildare.
And in the Camogie Premier Junior Championship, Kildare were beaten by Cavan 16 points to 1-9 yesterday.
Three more places in the quarter-finals of the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship are up for grabs today.
Armagh play Louth at 1. Galway are home to Westmeath from 2.30.
And Tyrone play Mayo at 3.30.
The remaining Round 2B game sees Dublin play Cavan from 2.
The Tailteann Cup quarter-finals began yesterday, Offaly 1-22 Wexford 1-17.
Antrim 3-15 Wicklow 2-19. Laois 15 points Down 2-23. Fermanagh 2-25 Sligo 9 points.
In Hurling, the All-Ireland Minor Final will be Tipperary and Limerick as Cork and Galway lost.
Soccer
In the World Cup, Scotland opened their World Cup campaign with a 1-nil win over Haiti.
John McGinn scored the only goal of the game in Boston.
Brazil & Morocco shared a 1-all draw, as did Switzerland & Qatar. Australia beat Turkey 2-nil.
Germany play Curcao at 6, before the Netherlands play Japan from 9.
Golf
In golf, Shane Lowry is four shots off the lead heading into the final round of the Canadian Open in Toronto.
The Offaly man is tied for 12th on nine-under-par.
Jackson Suber leads the tournament on 13-under.
At the LPGA Dow Championship, Leona Maguire and Lauren Walsh both made the cut.
Kildare's Lauren Walsh is tied for 13th following a round of 69.
Leona Maguire carded a round of 70 to tie for 20th, a shot further back.
Darts
Ireland will face Scotland in the quarter-finals of the World Cup of Darts.
Micky Mansell and Willie O'Connor will be up against Gary Anderson and Cameron Menzies.
In the other last-eight matches, Northern Ireland play Latvia, the Netherlands will play Germany and England play Wales, starting from midday.
Racing
In racing, there's a seven-race card at Cork from 2.
There's also racing at Downpatrick, the first goes to post at 1.50.
