GAA
Kildare minor footballers are into the All Ireland semi final after an impressive Quarter Final win over Kerry in Limerick on Saturday.
Kildare had the advantage of a strong wind in that opening half but only led by 1-4 to 0-4 late in the half, their goal from Jack Reilly after two minutes.
But they finished the half with a flourish with a ’45 from Logan Tennyson and three two-pointers from play from Jack Reilly, Eoghan Lyons and team captain Chalie Doran for a 9 poins lead 1-11 to 0-5 at half time.
Playing against the wind in the 2nd half, a Páidí Ryan run mid way through the half set up Cian Keogh for a palmed goal that put Kildare ten points ahead.
Kerry struck for a goal and point to reduce the margin to 6 points, but then a stroke of luck for Kildare saw the Kerry goalie slip and Cian Keogh hit his 2nd goal
Kildare led 3-12 to 1-13 heading into injury time, but Callum Cowzer hit Kildare’s fourth goal.
Kerry had their second goal with time almost up, but a very impressive Kildare are into the All Ireland semi final where they will play Tyrone.

In the other last-eight ties in the All Ireland Minor football Championship, Tyrone 3-17 Galway 19 points, Cork 3-19 Meath 1-12, and Derry 2-12 Roscommon 1-09.
In the opening round of the All-Ireland Senior Ladies Football Championship Mayo are home to Dublin at 1.
Meath play Galway and Kerry play Tipperary, both from 2.
In Munster Hurling, Cork play Limerick for The Mick Mackey Cup at 2.
And in Camogie, Waterford play Tipperary in the Senior Championship at half-past three.
Boxing
Katie Taylor is getting ready for her final fight in-front of 80,000 people in Croke Park.

In rugby, Leinster earned a hard-fought victory against the Stormers by 20 points to 11 at the Aviva Stadium in the URC semi-finals.
It sets up a repeat of last year's decider, with Leinster set to take on the Bulls at Croke Park on Friday 19th of June.
Golf
In golf, Rory McIlroy is six shots off the lead at one-under-par at the Memorial Tournament in Ohio after Round 3.
Americans JT Poston and Ryan Gerard share the lead on 9 under par.
Shane Lowry is also well placed tied for 12th on one-under-par.
Tennis
In Tennis, Alexander Zverev hopes to become a Grand Slam tennis champion later.
The number two seed is the firm favourite for his French Open final with Italy's Flavio Cobolli at 2.
They've met twice during the clay season this year, with both players winning one match each.
Racing
And in racing, Kildare jockey Ronan Whelan enjoyed the biggest victory of his career after guiding Christmas Day to success in the Epsom Derby yesterday.
