Naas Hurlers In Leinster Final; 3 Prem Lge Games; Two Champions Cup; Taylor Unbeaten in 20/20; Hamilton & Verstappen F1 Chamionship Decider in Dubai

Naas senior hurlers made history yesterday being the first Kildare club to beat a Kilkenny club in Leinster competition

The beat Kilkenny intermediate champions Glenmore by 1-16 to 1-10 to advance to the Leinster final in January

Naas led from the throw-in and by 11 points to 5 at half time.

Despite going down to 14 in the second half, they led by 9 points entering the closing stages after a Shane Ryan goal.

They will play Oylgate of Wexford in the final on the weekend of January 9th.

Their footballers play Shelmaliers of Wexford next Saturday in the Leinster senior semi final in Croke Park.

Maynooth hurlers were unlucky to lose their Leinster Junior semi final by 1 point: 2-9 to 2-8 to Shamrocks of Offaly.

Shamrocks led by 2-6 to 1-4 at half time; Cathal McCabe with the Maynooth goal

A David Qualter goal on 38 minutes and further points, reduced Shamrock’s lead to one point in the final minutes,

Maynooth will rue 15 wides throughout.
