Kildare began their 2022 football campaign in the O’Byrne Cup yesterday under manager Glenn Ryan.
They beat Westmeath 0-19 to 0-08 in St Conleth's Park.
Kildare were in control from the start.
Top scorers were Jimmy Hyland with 7 points – 6 from play, and Paddy Woodgate with 6 points.
Kildare’s next outing is on Thursday at 7.30 against Carlow in

Kilmacud Crokes are Leinster Club football champions for the first time since 2010, after beating Naas 14 points to 7 at
