Sunday Sports Update: Crucial Day For The Kildare Footballers & Hurlers.

Kfm will have live coverage of each game.

 

GAA

It’s a big day for both the Kildare senior footballers and hurlers as they play in a double header in St Conleth’s Park this afternoon.

At 12.30pm, the hurlers play Westmeath, knowing a win will keep them in Division 2A for another season.

Kfm will have updates of that match with Seamus Dillon.

Then, at 2.45pm the footballers have a crucial game against Monaghan in Division 1 of the Allianz League.

Kfm will have full commentary in association with Hanlon Concrete Products, Roberstown.

Elsewhere, Leaders Kerry take on Armagh at 2pm, while Dublin and Donegal clash at 3.45pm.

Yesterday Tyrone eased their relegation worries with an 0-11 0-9 win over Mayo.

Also in action today are the Kildare women’s footballers in the semi final of the Lidl Division 3.

They play Roscommon at 1pm in Parnell Park in Dublin.

Tara Byrne will provide updates for Kfm throughout the afternoon.

RUGBY

France won their first Grand Slam title since 2010 last night.

Antoine Dupont lead by example and his try sealed a 25-13 win over England in Paris.

Ireland had to settle for second place and Triple Crown after a 26-5 win over Scotland at the Aviva Stadium.

Italy won their first game in 7 years by beating Wales 22-21 in Cardiff.

SOCCER

There are two games in the Premier League this afternoon.

At 2pm, Leicester City play host to Brentford before Tottenham play West Ham at half 4.

In the FA Cup, Crystal Palace play Everton at 12.30, Southampton are at home to Man City at 3pm and Championship side Nottingham Forest will be hoping to cause an upset against Liverpool at 6.

GOLF

Shane Lowry is in a tie for 17th ahead of the final round at the Valspar Championship on the PGA Tour.

The Offaly man shot a 3 under 68 in his third round and is 10 shots off the lead.

American Matthew NeSmith has a one shot advantage on 18 under.

RACING

Racing today is in Downpatrick today, with the first going to post at 2.10
