Kenny Stays On Until End Of Year
|
Stephen Kenny will remain in charge of the Republic of Ireland team for the final three games of their Euro 2024 qualifying campaign and the international friendly with New Zealand in November, the FAI has confirmed. Speaking at a press conference this morning, FAI CEO Jonathan Hill said that Kenny's future will not be discussed until a review after those games. Hill also addressed issues former WNT manager Vera Pauw raised following the decision of the FAI not to offer her a new contract following the side’s World Cup campaign. Hill has acknowledged Pauw's contribution to football in Ireland and described her as a 'pioneer' in the women's game. ============================ GAA Last night’s local GAA results: UPMC Senior B Hurling Championship Broadford 2-12 Moorefield 2-9 Naas 1-19 Kilcock 1-5 Leixlip 5-28 Celbridge 0-8 Junior Hurling Championship Confey 1-15 Ros Glas 2-11 Cappagh 2-13 Clane 1-9
