SOCCER

Manchester City are back, one point clear at the top of the Premier League this morning thanks to a 3-0 victory over Brighton.

Boss Pep Guardiola says his team is focused on the task ahead:

Arsenal are level on points with fourth placed Tottenham thanks to a 4-2 win against Chelsea.

Mikel Arteta's side bounced back from three straight defeats in style by claiming victory over their London rivals at Stamford Bridge.

The Arsenal boss feels it could be huge for their push for the final Champions League qualification places:

Everton moved four points clear of the relegation zone after scoring a late equaliser in a 1-1 draw with Leicester.

Burnley have the chance to reduce the gap to one point if they can beat Southampton tonight.

Last night's other match saw Newcastle continue their resurgence with a 1-0 win against Crystal Palace.

TENNIS

Men's world number one Novak Djokovic has called Wimbledon's decision to ban Russian and Belarussian players "crazy" saying "politics and tennis should not mix".

The British Grand Slam has become the first tournament to prevent individuals competing from the two countries following the war in Ukraine.
