GAELIC GAMES

Going into the game, Naas knew a win or a draw would ensure they overtook Sarsfields in top spot.

All attention now turns to the final round of fixtures on Tuesday, 28th June.

Naas led by 1-8 to 0-6 at half time and outscored Confey 1-8 to 0-3 in the second half.

Darragh Kirwan scored 1-5, Dermot Hanafin registered 1-3, while Alex Beirne scored 0-4.

Naas play Clane in their final game, while Confey are away to St Laurence's.

It was a double night of wins for Naas who are Division 3 hurling champions following last night‘s 2-20 to 0-9 win over Maynooth.
