A world record attendance was set for a women's club football game yesterday, as 91,553 fans watched Barcelona beat Real Madrid 5-2 at the Camp Nou, in the Champions League quarter finals.

Barca and Paris Saint Germain have booked their places in the last four - the semi-final line up will be completed tonight.

Wolfsburg host Arsenal in the second leg of their quarter final tonight.

The tied is poised at 1-1 after the first leg.

Republic of Ireland captain Katie McCabe should feature for the Gunners.

Lyon entertain Juventus with the Italian side holding a 2-1 advantage.

Elsewhere, Galway United has been formally taken over by billionaire property developers Luke and Brian Comer, who have acquired 85% of the League of Ireland club.

GAELIC GAMES

It's been confirmed that the Munster senior football semi-final involving Cork and Kerry will be played in Killarney on the 7th of May, as Páirc Uí Chaoimh is unavailable and Páirc Uí Rinn does not meet capacity requirements.
