Mark Travers was the only player who didn't take part in the Republic of Ireland training session in Turkey this morning.

The Bournemouth goalkeeper was missing due to illness.

Stephen Kenny's squad are in Antalya for a training camp and will fly out to Athens tomorrow ahead of Friday's European Championship qualifier against Greece.

Ireland then play Gibraltar at the Aviva Stadium next Monday.

World number three McIlroy and newly crowned PGA Championship winner Koepka will be joined by former Masters champion Hideki Matsuyama for the first two rounds and tee off at 9.54pm Irish time on Thursday.

McIlroy, bidding to end a nine-year major drought, has been one of the PGA Tour's most vocal backers.

Koepka became the first active member of LIV Golf to win a major at the PGA Championship three weeks ago.

Shane Lowry will tee-off alongside two-time major winner Justin Thomas and 2018 US Open runner-up Tommy Fleetwood at 3.40pm Irish time.

Seamus Power and Irish amateur Matthew McClean are grouped with New Zealander Ryan Fox at 4.35pm Irish time.

Padraig Harrington plays alongside LIV supporter Phil Mickelson and Keegan Bradley at 8.59pm Irish time.

 

Three-time Olympic medallist Tori Bowie died from complications related to childbirth, her agent has confirmed.

Bowie died at the age of 32 at her home in Florida in early May.


Denver Nuggets have won the NBA Championship for the first ever time.

They beat Miami Heat by 94 points to 89 in game five of the Finals.

Denver win the series 4-1.

Denver are owned by American billionaire Stan Kroenke, who is also the owner of Arsenal.
