Tuesday Lunch Sports Update: Dublin To Play Division 2 Home Games In Croke Park Next Season.

The Dubs were relegated alongside Kildare at the weekend.

Dublin will continue to play their home National Football League fixtures at Croke Park next year, despite dropping to Division Two.

Parnell Park had been mooted as a potential change of venue following their relegation to the second-flight for the 2023 campaign.

But Dublin officials says their intention is to stage their home games in Division Two at G-A-A headquarters.

SOCCER

The Republic of Ireland round off the international break with a friendly at home to Lithuania this evening.

Stephen Kenny's side head into the match at the Aviva Stadium having lost just once in their last 11 matches.

Kick-off is at 7.45pm.

While the Ireland under-17 women's side are hoping to book their spot at the European Championship this evening.

They need a win against Iceland at Tallaght combined with a Slovakia victory against Finland.

CRICKET

It'll be televised from his home cricket ground in Melbourne, tomorrow.

SAILING

Ireland has formally withdrawn from the bidding process to host the 2024 edition of sailing's America's Cup,

The decision has been made by the Department of Tourism and Sport following a feasibility study into the bid.

They concluded that Cork would "potentially be a great venue" but the "necessary infrastructural and planning arrangements" wouldn't be in place in time for 2024.

RACING

The ground is good to yielding at Navan this morning ahead of a seven-race fixture this afternoon.

Racing gets underway at the Meath venue from a quarter-past-two.
