Ben McCormack named Kildare Senior County Player of the Year

One of the FA Cup’s most iconic goalscorers, Ronnie Radford, has died.

His 85th minute strike for Hereford at home to Newcastle in 1972 is one of the most recognisable and replayed goals in the competition’s history.

He was 79.

Celtic are looking to end their European campaign on a positive note this evening.

They’re at the Bernabeu to complete their so-far winless Group F obligations away to Real Madrid.

R-B Leipzig could top that group if Real drop points and the Bundesliga side beat Shakhtar Donetsk.

In Group E, Chelsea play Dinamo Zagreb having already secured their last-16 place.

And Manchester City host Sevilla in Group G, looking to protect their unbeaten record.

On the shortlist are Peamount’s Aine O’Gorman, Wexford Youths’ Ellen Molloy, and Athlone striker Emily Corbet.

Contesting the Young Player of the Year award are Shels’ Jessie Stapleton, Athlone's Muireann Devaney and Sligo’s Emma Doherty.

Shels’ back-to-back title winning boss Noel King is up for manager of the year, along with Athlone’s Tommy Hewitt and Sligo’s Steve Feeney.

Munster have confirmed that RG Snyman will be sidelined until January.

The province say the delay to the lock’s comeback follows a consultation with his surgeon regarding his knee injury.

Tom Ahern is still waiting to see a specialist about his shoulder injury.
