Wicklow's men's senior footballers require new manager following Colin Kelly's stepping down last night

SOCCER

Tottenham Hotspur will not be claiming any silverware this season.

Antonio Conte's side lost 1-0 to Middlesbrough in the fifth round of the FA Cup at the Riverside.

19-year old Josh Coburn scored the only goal, in the second period of extra-time.

Second-half goals from Riyad Mahrez and Jack Grealish saw Manchester City win 2-0 away to Peterborough United.

Dublin teenager Tayo Adaramola played more than an hour of Crystal Palace's 2-1 win at home to Stoke City.

There are three more places in the sixth round on offer tonight.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has dismissed talk of a possible quadruple ahead of their meeting with Norwich City, in Anfield at 8.15pm.

Klopp says that Cork goalkeeper Caoimhín Kelleher is not going anywhere, following his heroics in the Carabao Cup final:

Chelsea will look to set discussion around the club's ownership aside, as they travel to Kenilworth Road to play Luton Town.

Kick-off at 7.15pm.

Southampton and West Ham meet in St. Mary's at 7.30pm.

Burnley remain a point from safety in the Premier League, with games-in-hand running out.

They were beaten 2-0 by Leicester at Turf Moor last night.

Late goals from substitutes James Maddison and Jamie Vardy secured a first win of the year for Brendan Rodgers' side.

GAELIC GAMES

The Wicklow footballers require a new manager, just four games into the Allianz League season.

Colin Kelly stepped down last night, citing a change in work commitments.

Wicklow are bottom of Division Three, following three defeats and a draw, and welcome Laois to Aughrim in 11 days time.

BASKETBALL

In the U19 C Girls Schools League final, it was Pipers Hill Naas who took the victory, beating St. Finian's Swords by five points, 47-42.

A strong opening half from the Kildare side had them ahead 29-15 going into the second half.

St. Finian's fought hard to pull it back, outscoring Pipers Hill by four points in both second-half quarters, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the lead built by Pipers Hill.

MVP in the game was Pipers Hill’s Niamh Farrelly, who was also top scorer with 18 points.

Her teammate Stephanie Nnabuihe was a close contender for MVP, strong in rebounds under the basket, she also scored well with 16 points.

Next top scorer for Pipers Hill Naas was Kate O’Neill with 6 points.

MOTORSPORT

The FIA have been criticised for their response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

They will continue to allow Russian and Belarussian drivers to race, but they must do so under neutral flags.

The decision allows the son of a Russian billionaire Nikita Mazepin to continue racing for the Haas team.

SNOOKER

Mark Allen will be in Welsh Open second round action tonight.

The Antrim man faces Joe Perry at Celtic Manor, following a whitewash of Ukrainian teenager Iulian Boiko last night.

Fergal O'Brien faces Jimmy Robertson today, following a 4-3 victory last night over Thepchaiya Un-Nooh.
