The announcement was made by Minister of State Hildegarde Naughton
Minister of State Hildegarde Naughton has announced the introduction of 14 new special classes in Kildare which will provide essential support to schools and parents across the county.
The 14 new classes in Kildare for the 2024/25 school year include 10 at primary level and 4 at post primary level.
They bring to 131 the total number of special classes now in operation in the county.
The 14 classes will be located as follows:

Scoil Eimhin Naofa, Monasterevan
St Laurence's NS, Crookstown
Coill Dubh National School
Gaelscoil Chill Dara, The Curragh
Scoil Mhuire, Allenwood
St Paul's Secondary School, Monasterevin
Scoil Naomh Bríd, Celbridge
St Patrick's Boys National School, Clane
Gaelscoil Ui Ríada, Kilcock
Gaelscoil Nás na Ríogh, Naas
Maynooth Post Primary School
St Farnan's Post Primary School, Prosperous
St Wolstan's Community School, Celbridge
