It follows the latest release of data from the Housing Department.
26,536 new homes were commenced nationally.
Housing Minister James Browne described the numbers as “positive in Kildare and across the country".
"There’s momentum here showing we are on the right track when it comes to increasing capacity and helping to solve our housing crisis."
“As we move into the final quarter of the year, we can take great encouragement from the fact that all of the key indicators in the construction sector; commencements, completions and planning permissions are now moving in the right direction putting us in a very strong position to deliver homes.
"Behind these numbers are real people who serve keys in their hands. Every new commencement represents the first step on a journey for a person or family who will one day call that place a secure home. For their family to grow up and grow old in. That’s what I want to make happen for people in Kildare," the Minister concluded.
