Broken Swings, Graffiti And Anti-Social Behaviour: Baltinglass Playground Remains "Unsafe"

With broken swings, graffiti and accessibility issues, the park is a no-go area for most locals living nearby.

Baltinglass playground is neglected and unsafe for children.

That's according to Local Area Rep for West Wicklow, Deirdre McCormack.

In March 2023 the Baltinglass Municipal District received €425,000 from Wicklow County Council’s Community Recognition Fund allocations, supplemented by an additional €200,000 from the Rural Regeneration and Development Fund, to improve these community amenities.

However, work is yet to begin.

With broken swings, graffiti and accessibility issues, the park is a no-go area for most locals living nearby.
