€350,000 for Kildare, Cork County, Galway County, Limerick City & County and Meath
Homes in the most expensive areas of Ireland will still cost up to €450,000 under the government's affordable housing scheme.
A bill before cabinet this afternoon examines price caps for local authorities.
It's expected that will be set at €450,000 in Dublin city and Dun Laoghaire.
The next highest cap will be €400,000 for an affordable home in Fingal, South Dublin, Wicklow, Galway City and Cork City.
Kildare is proposed at €350,000.
The figures still have to be finalised with the Central Bank.
Housing Minister Darragh O'Brien has said in line with the Shared Equity Scheme, it will lead to affordable housing becoming available:
