Curragh Camp Pool Upgrade: Local Schools And Swimming Clubs To Benefit

Plans are underway to ensure local schools, military families, and swimming clubs will have access to the facility.

Redevelopment works at the Curragh Camp swimming pool have been completed, marking a significant milestone for the local community.

The swimming pool, a key asset for the Defence Forces, is also being positioned as a resource for the broader community, including Newbridge, Kildare, and the Curragh area.

Plans are underway to ensure local schools, military families, and swimming clubs will have access to the facility.

Additionally, efforts are being made to recruit civilian lifeguards to help manage the pool.

"Under the present agreement access will be given to local schools, military families and swimming clubs," Senator Fiona O'Loughlin said.
