A Kildare singer is set to perform as part of the 75th Wexford Festival Opera later this month.
Éadaoin Hassett, from the Curragh, began classical singing lessons in Newbridge at the age of 10 before going on to study Vocal Performance at the Royal Irish Academy of Music.
She is now part of the Wexford Factory programme for emerging opera talent and will perform during this year's landmark festival.
Hassett is among the performers sharing the role of Laura in The First Festival, a new production marking the origins of the Wexford event.
She will also have a role in the community opera, Still, Life...
The 75th Wexford Festival Opera takes place from 15th to 31st of October.
