Dan will now go into the National Final
Naas singer/songwriter Dan McCabe has been announced as the winner of Kfm's 'Local Hero' Competition, as part of Irish Music Month.
The initiative, in association with Hot Press, the Independent Broadcasters of Ireland and Coimisiún na Meán, pledges to feature more Irish music then ever during the month of September.
As part of this, local musicians were invited to submit their songs into a talent competition, with four making it to the final.
Kfm's four finalists were Dan McCabe from Naas, Púca from Clogherinkoe, April from Kilcullen and Emily O'Sullivan from Newbridge.
This morning, Dan McCabe has been revealed as the winner of this stage and will now go on to represent Kildare and Kfm in the National Final, against 20 other radio stations.
