Garda Commissioner Drew Harris launched the event at Barberstown Castle.
Maynooth University students, organisers of the renowned Galway Cycle, will donate proceeds from their 2024 marathon cycle to the Little Blue Heroes Foundation, aiding children with serious illnesses.
The event, a cycling tradition since 1987, covers 200kms from Maynooth to Galway and back on April 5-7, 2024.
