They are Mill Lane, in Naas, and Maynooth Community Care Unit.
The Health Information and Quality Authority has released inspection reports on two nursing homes in Kildare.
Both unannounced assessments took place in April, and HIQA's reports were published today.
Mill Lane Manor Nursing Home, Naas, was inspected on 10 standards, and found to be compliant, or substantially so, on all of them.
These included residents' rights, staffing and infection control.
Of Mill Lane Nursing Manor Home, Naas, Hiqa's inspectors noted "Overall residents were happy living in this centre. They were well cared for and supported by dedicated staff who did their best to keep them safe and cheer them during this difficult time. Improved governance structures resulted in better resident experiences and more informed quality and safety management. Inspectors observed practices and spoke at length with 16 residents to gain an insight of the lived experience in the centre."

While Maynooth Community Care Unit was assessed on 14 standards, and was compliant, or substantially so, on all of them.
These include protection, complaints procedure and training and staff developments.
Of Maynooth Community Care Unit, Hiqa's inspectors say "From what residents told us and from what the inspector observed, it was clear that residents were happy and enjoying a good quality of life where they were supported to be active participants in the running of Maynooth Community Care Unit"

Both providers have, since their respective inspections, issued compliance plans to HIQA, and have been given dates by which to bring all standards assessed up to full compliance.
