Staff from Centra Clane are also celebrating the news, having sold the winning ticket
A Kildare man has collected his €500,000 EuroMillions Plus top prize after success in the draw on Friday 18 September.
Staff from Centra Service Station in Clane are also celebrating the news, having sold the winning Quick Pick ticket.
Speaking recently, the lucky winner said :"I play the EuroMillions every now and then and, on this particular Friday, I stopped to put fuel in the car and added a last-minute Quick Pick ticket to my purchase. I left the ticket in the car, and completely forgot about it until I was driving to work on the Monday morning.
"Before heading into the office, I scanned the ticket on the app and discovered I was holding a ticket worth €500,000 that had been sitting in my car all weekend - little did I know"
After texting his partner the good news, he admitted that it was tough to hide his excitement for the day at work.
While he hasn't celebrated the win just yet, he is planning to treat himself and his family to a Michelin-star dining experience, something he has always dreamed of.
“We’re definitely going to book a family trip away. In the longer term, we'll take our time and plan for the future. I've always dreamed of owning a Ferrari one day, so I might be one step closer after this win!”
