The monies are to enable the purchase of equipment or repairs or refurbishments to enable social enterprises to improve their service delivery.
Kildare has been allocated funding under the Social Enterprise Capital Grants Scheme.
The monies will be allocated by Kildare County Council to social enterprise groups, to enable the purchase of new equipment, or repairs and refurbishment.
The Dept. of Rural and Community Affairs says the grants will be administered KCC's Local Community Development Committee and "Details on how to apply will be available from each LCDC shortly."
Kildare has been allocated €35,000, out of the total €1 million.
